One Warm Coat Drive by Leos Club and PTSA

 

Cupertino High School PTSA Leo Club are working together to collect any unused coats/ blankets that you are willing to give. The coats/blankets will be given to homeless and destitute people that are in dire need of these coats this winter. You can help us by:
1.      Collecting unused coats/blankets around your house that you are willing to give
2.      Putting those coats/blankets into a bag or box
3.      Leaving the bag or box of coats/blankets on your doorstep for members of Cupertino High School PTSA Leo Club to pick up on November 19, 2009 (Please have the bags or boxes set out before 3:00 pm on November 19, 2009)

The PTSA will be sponsoring several student programs this year.

Grant programs

The PTSA will donate towards student programs.  

EDGE

The PTSA arranges a class to help students to prepare for the SAT.  Please see the enclosed document to register.

Reflections

This is a national PTSA sponsored program which recognizes the achievements of our students in the arts.  Students can submit entries in the following categories:Literature, Music composition, Photography , Visual Arts, Dance Choreography, Film and Video Production.

Job Shadow Program

PTSA will coordinate this Junior Achievement sponsored program for the second year.  Last year, we had 78  students shadow employees at  Tesla, Google, DLA Piper, IBM, Stanford Hospital, Eaton Elementary School, Agilent, and Network Appliance. The students met people who discussed their careers.  If you are interested in helping serve on this committee, please complete the attached volunteer form.

FUHSD—ARTS SHOW

This event is held in the spring at  Cupertino Square to show the art  work of our  tudents.  PTSA volunteers work as docents for the show

STAR TEST SNACKS

We will provide snacks during STAR Testing Week for the students.

-Tutor students after school

Please see the enclosed forms for donations, membership, and volunteering.   Membership in the PTSA is not required for donating to the school.

Cupertino PTSA supports the FUHSD's initiative

Cupertino High School PTSA voted unanimously to support the FUHSD Board of  Trustees in their initiative to have all five high schools have comparable athletic facilities, including lighted fields at Homestead, Lynbrook, and Monta Vista High Schools
